These are my top 5 favorite sites that I use on a regular basis when I need help in church administration. Obviously I have them bookmarked for easy access and go to them at least once a week to get updates and see what is happening in church business. One thing I have learned is you have to be a continual learner. We can’t afford to become stagnant in the work we do! So here are my top 5, in order, that I depend on to keep me current!
5. www.irs.gov - yes believe it or not this is a great site for church leaders. There is a news room you can see what the IRS has out new that may pertain to churches plus lots of other resources for church business. I download forms that I need directly from here and order publications to keep on hand.
4. www.mondaymorninginsight.com – Todd Rhodes does a great job with his site all about church business. I get weekly email updates from him that help keep me current. There are tons of articles and blogs about what we deal with everyday. Check it out!
3. www.churchlawtoday.com – an incredibly valuable site by Richard Hammer. He is very well known for church tax and law updates. I attend his class every year at the NACBA national conference and love it.
2. www.nacba.net - I have been a member of this organization since 2000 and it is by far the best site for church administration. Lots of great news and articles from all around the country on church issues. I highly recommend you join this group.
1. www.pandora.com – this is my #1 site because for me to lighten up on a stressful day I have to listen to music. Pandora lets you create radio stations with your kind of music. This always gets me through a tough day with a smile.
